The Shaw Festival was honoured today to host the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper. Mr. Harper was at The Shaw to host a roundtable for owners and operators of tourism businesses in the Niagara Region to hear their perspectives on the current challenges and future opportunities facing our industry.

The roundtable was held on the set for our production of The Entertainer, in the Studio Theatre.

A team of approximately 15 staff from the PMO’s office were responsible for the safe and timely arrival of the PM and the guests at the roundtable. The Shaw Festival’s Executive Director Colleen Blake was among those lucky enough to participate in the hour-long discussion.

Members of the media were invited into the Studio Theatre just prior to the roundtable discussion for a photo op with the Prime Minister.
