And we think our namesake would be proud of our determination. Our Blogs are back, and luckily actors Ali Momen, Kelly Wong and Guy Bannerman are returning too. We’re throwing open our dressing room doors; inviting you in to take a peak behind the curtain, to hopefully introduce you to new aspects of what goes on inside this venerable institution – sometimes before our dreams even make it to the stage.
We hope our Blogs will bring you along on our journey into the world of the plays. We’re planning to eventually include designers, directors and other special guests to The Shaw as bloggers too. Blogging continues to be a brave new world for us, but we know that we have your support and respect.
We welcome your comments on our blogs as they appear – we’re now up and running with five of our productions running in repertory at the Festival (Brief Encounters and Born Yesterday), Court House (A Moon for the Misbegotten) and Royal George (Sunday in the Park with George and In Good King Charles’s Golden Days) theatres.
So let’s get started on this journey together!
Jackie Maxwell

I loved Moon and so read Emporor Jones, Anna Christie, and Hairy Ape. First and third are inappropriate but Anna Christie could be a good choice perhaps for 2011. The female role is fantastic. Three characters, the Court House. All you must find is a 30ish brawny Irishman. jim
